Trauma Party is a New Zealand post-punk band formed on Waiheke Island in late 2024. Known for their high-energy, "desert storm" live shows, the four-piece band has quickly made a name for themselves in the underground Kiwi music scene.
The band's lineup features veteran musicians from the New Zealand punk and alternative rock scene: Buddy Olson (Vocals), Derek Solomon (Guitar / Backing Vocals - formerly of Space Waltz) Ron Kramer (Bass, Kirsty Swanney (Drums - formerly of Glass Cell)
Trauma Party draws musical inspiration from bands like Bauhaus, Swans, Killing Joke, and The Skeptics. They have extensively toured the North Island and are known for singles like "Sharks" and "Speak To Me", as well as their acclaimed debut EP, "Because You've Been Good".
